After a hearty breakfast, your mountain support crew will drive you to Rongai Gate (2,364 m), located on the northern side of Mount Kilimanjaro near the Kenyan border.

While the terrain is relatively flat, the combination of high altitude and exposure to the elements makes this section challenging. Be prepared for extreme temperatures and strong winds.

Upon arrival at Kibo Hut (4,720 m), you’ll rest and prepare for the final push to the summit.

While the descent is quicker, it can still be physically demanding. The steep sections require careful footing, especially after a long day of trekking. Take your time to avoid unnecessary strain and stay safe on your way down.

The Final Descent to Marangu Gate
