  • After landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you'll be warmly greeted by our transfer team, who will take you to your hotel in Arusha.

  • Later in the day, you'll meet your Kilimanjaro trekking guide for a detailed briefing and equipment check to ensure you're fully prepared for your climb.

From Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

  • Start your adventure after a breakfast with a drive to Lemosho Gate (2,100 m), the western entrance of Kilimanjaro National Park.

  • Once your permits are secured, you'll begin your trek through lush rainforests on your way to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,650 m).

  • Today's trail takes you through lush rainforests, so a raincoat  is a must.

  • Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife in this rich ecosystem.

From Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira I Camp

  • During this trek you'll experience breathtaking views of the Shira Plateau and Kibo Volcano for the first time.

  • You’ll transition from rainforest into open moorlands, with striking landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see.

  • After arrival at Shira I Camp, a hot dinner and overnight stay awaits.

From Shira I Camp to Shira II Camp

  • Upon arrival, you can relax, explore the area by talking a short hike, or simply rest in your tent while your team prepares dinner.​​​​​

The Lava Tower

Acclimatization Hike towards Barafu Camp

  • As you ascend, the landscape becomes more barren, with rocky terrain and cold winds.

  • The name "Barafu" means "ice" in Swahili, also reflects the weather conditions for today's trek.

  • The climb is not technically difficult, but the high altitude makes it extremely challenging.
